What's the deal with iMessage?
I have the iPhone 5 and my American friend gave me her email and I sent her an iMessage. I don't have texting to the US (i'm in canada) but I do have a data plan. This won't use international texting right?
Nope its her email not her phone number that your texting. It would only be using the internet or wireless.
No because you are sending it to an email it only charges when you send them to phones
If your friend has ipad or ipod touch, then they can use email to identify it for messaging through imessage. If thats what you are referring to, then yes it will use imessage and thats free even internationally. You will know because the text box that you type into will change to say imessage and not text message, and the message turns blue when you send it.
Email uses data allowance, so does iMessage.
You should be able to send iMessages using the phone number if you edit hers so that it starts with +1, then the cell number with the first 0 dropped. If you ever cross the border and want to send a text message to her you won't need to edit the number
- What's the big deal with the Iphone 5? Why is everybody so excited about it? Its almost the same thing just the screen is bigger and its a little bit faster big whoop. It doesn't have any thing new/exciting.

What is the big deal about the Iphone 5 there hasn't been any big changes in my opinion it is still the Iphone 4 just with a bigger screen and little differences. In my opinion it is more like an Iphone I prefer the Galaxy Note 2 over the Iphone 5 despite the size i think it is just overall better and the apps are free. Only thing I think is great about the Iphone is I have heard the battery life is amazing.
- What is my warranty deal with my iPhone 4S (ATT)? *I preordered the iPhone 4S last year *I also bought it through AT&T *I never had any problems with it but last night I must have dropped it but i never noticed until a little later that I have a crack going across the screen. It's not terrible but it's definitely there. Do I have a warranty deal that came automatically with buying the phone? Does it cover the crack? Also how long do you think I would have had it for? (i tried googling but it was all very confusing)
