What should I do about my IPhone?

My iPhone got water damaged, I took it to a repair shop and they had to replace all the parts except the motherboard. It cost me $200. When I left the shop it was working, but the phone was very hot and the battery was draining very quickly. When I got home, I turned it off, removed the case and let it cool down. I tried to turn it on a few hours later but now it only turns on when plugged in and even then never gets past the apple logo. I tried to restore it with ITunes but it didn't register the device, so I think they gave me a bad battery. Can I go back and ask for a new battery? If not, can I get my $200 back? Or is there anything I can do myself to recover the phone?

Go back to the shop with the receipt and tell them what happened. The battery should not be getting hot.

Just get a galaxy s7 it is waterproof and it has a water warrenty i think
