What should I do if my iPhone gets stolen?
Someone stole my iPhone and it's off and find my iPhone is off. It's been 3 days now. How do I get a new phone? Do I have to pay for another one? I can pay for a new phone I just got this phone.
Report it to the police. They should be able to track it down. If they can't, see if you have a liability plan that will have your phone replaced.
You'll have to buy a new one. There are a few options:
-Buy a used on from somewhere that you can just activate onto your acct(cheap but its a used phone and probably not in great shape)
-Buy a new one for full price without contract(like $500+)
-Go to the store of your carrier. If you're relatively close to a contract upgrade, you can ask them to move it up so you can get a new phone at contract price without having a contract upgrade available yet. If you're a year away, that won't work. If its only a few months, its worth a shot.
You should also report the phone stolen to your carrier so it gets blacklisted. If you've insurance, you will get a replacement unit otherwise, you've to buy a new one.
