What should I know before I purchase a used Iphone?
My iphone 5 finally quit on me and i'm searching for a used iphone of a later model. My carrier is at&t and i'm thinking of getting some version of a 6 or maybe even a 7. What requirements are needed for a used iPhone in order for me to simply transfer my sim card? If its even that simple, that is.
You need to make sure that the phone you're buying has a clean IMEI and not iCloud locked. Also, you will need to buy an AT&T iPhone OR an iPhone that is unlocked. If the phone is from a different carrier and not unlocked, it will not work with your AT&T service until the phone is unlocked by that particular carrier.
Other than that, yes it is as simple as simply taking out the SIM card from your dead phone and putting it into your 'new' iPhone.
A 5 is really cheap and except for the camera and screen size.t no difference
Ideally before you pay, you need to see the phone working with your SIM, and your Apple credentials
