What started the whole Iphone 6 bending thing?

There's this joke going around that the Iphone 6 can bend, so people started breaking their phones in half, how did this start? Also, who led people to think that you could microwave the Iphone?

I heard one guy was carrying his iPhone 6 Plus in his jeans' back pocket and noticed that it became a little bent.

I think it started with someone sitting on it all day (lol, who does that?). Then people started making videos trying to bend it, because it got alot of hits.

I think its way overblown, this is from Consumer reports. You almost have to try to damage it to get it to bend.

Apple Inc. (AAPL)'s new iPhones, facing an Internet outcry about their malleability, proved difficult to bend and fit for daily use in lab tests run by Consumer Reports magazine.

Stress tests on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, along with comparable smartphones from competitors, showed that it took "significant force" to damage any of the devices, Consumer Reports said in results of a study published on its website. HTC Corp.'s HTC One M8 and Samsung Electronics Co.'s Galaxy Note 3 were among the other devices.

"All the phones we tested showed themselves to be pretty tough," the report said. "We expect that any of these phones should stand up to typical use."

You actually can bend the phones, it takes about 95 pounds of force but it's entirely possible. 4chan started the microwave thing. It's a sequel to last year's fake feature which was iOS7 making your phone waterproof.
