What to do on a long plane ride?

Well I'm going on a plane ride from Texas to Wisconsin and I'm not entertained very easily. Here are some of the items I have: laptop, IPhone, IPod, DS and my Pretty Little Liars books. Is there anything else I should bring? Also I'm kind of scared to go on a plane even though I have been on many. Is there anything I can do to ease my anxiety (I'm 13 so probably no pills or medications). Also I'm riding on American Airlines.

I would say take it all with you in a computer bag if your flight is a long one. And if you are nervous about it, try deep, slow breathing. It will help your body calm itself. Happy flying!

For me personally, regardless of how long the flight is, reading books keeps me occupied!

To be honest, it is going to be a little scary when you get in the plane and takeoff. But a few min later in the air, your nerves and stuff will calm down but you will still have your guard up lol (what I mean by guard is, if the plane does a little bump or slows down, your gonna start being a little paraniod) BTW: Download "OMG Pirates! On your Ipod, Its so fun plus it will make time fly by.
Here's sum things to do
- Watch sum movies
- Play on your DS (or games on your IPhone/IPod
- Listen to music
- Look out the window
- Daydream

I live on the West Coast and have a six hour plane ride to look forward to whenever I visit my family on the East Coast. If you are the type to get queasy try Sea Band. These are none medicinal bands that go on the pressure points of your wrists. They won't, however, help your nerves. If you are going to bring alot of stuff have it in a backpack. It can be stressful just going through an airport with alot of stuff hanging from your shoulder.

Depending on the airline, they usually play movies and have music channels to listen to. Most of the time I just watch the movies, read, or sleep. If your laptop can play movies than you can bring some movies that will make you laugh to ease your anxiety. You can also increase your endorphins and reduce stress by eating dark chocolate (dark, bitter chocolate) and playing music. The thing that decreases my anxiety the most, though, is by thinking logically though my fears. For instance I'll look around me on the airplane and see how calm everyone else is when I start to panic. That usually works to calm me.

Since the flight is not that long, I'm sure your laptop, iPhone, iPod, DS and book will keep you occupied for the entire flight. You may notice that some people will sleep on plane rides since it makes the trip go by faster. Some people will bring snacks with them, paper to draw or learn how to do origami.
