What to do with an iphone found?
So my brother found an iphone in the city. He gave it to me because he didn't know what to do with it. I would like to return it to the owner but I have no idea how to go about it. I would like to try find the owner first before and handing it into my local police station as I don't live close to where it was found so it seems pointless to hand it into a random police station as there's no way of identifying the owner as it is passlocked, sim locked and also the sim tray is stuck so I can't even check what network the phone is one.
So the chance of the owner coming to this particular police station to claim this plain black, locked iphone is very slim.
Any ideas? What do I do with the phone? I don't want it

Look at the screen. It'll tell you the carrier on top. Take it to that carrier at the mall or shop.

You can take this to ANY iPhone dealer - not matter what the carrier might be - and they will deal with this. Thank you for being an honest person - the value of your personal qualities is worth FAR more than the few bucks a used, locked phone might be. I'm proud of you -and I'm sure others are, too.
