What will happen with apps on the new iPhone 5?
The iPhone 5's new larger display worries me! What will happen with the apps, games specifically? Will there be 2 versions of each app, one for iPhone 5 and one for iPhone 4s and under? Will they all be redesigned for the larger 4" display on the iPhone 5 and look funky on the iPhone 4s and lower? Or will we have to struggle with black bars on the larger screen of the iPhone 5 if they decide to keep the apps way they are? I imagine this is a big problem for developers. Someone please answer this! Thanks!
p.s. That is if the the screen will be bigger which it probably will.
No they are building auto resize into the app developers sdk kit to make apps function properly on both devices (the ipod, iphone 4, and 4S, and the new iphone)
So all apps will continue to function on all iOS devices… And if not Apple can sell older versions on older iOS devices Appstores and Newer versions on the upcoming iPhone.
- When I get my new iPhone, what will happen to the apps on my old iPhone? I'm asking my dad to buy me the iPhone 5s, but what will happen to the apps on my old iPhone? Do I have to re-download them again? What will happen to my purchased apps? What will happen the SCORES/file game on my apps? If I can transfer my old apps to my new phone, will the scores be reset?
- What will happen to my apps? I have the iphone 5 and I know that ios 7 comes out today. I've read here and there that not all apps are supported by it. What happens if I update it and they all aren't supported? Will they still work just be different? I really want to update to ios 7. I've had a couple apps that have been updated to support it. Anyone know anything?
- What will happen to apps installed via cydia if I will delete cydia? I jailbroken the iphone for the purpose of installing an app which is not available in appstore. Now I do not need cydia anymore, I can delete it by deleting its packages. But what will happen to the app that is installed using cydia if I will remove cydia?
- What will happen if I plug my new iPhone into my computer? I've had an iPod for a very long time and I have all of my music currently on my iTunes. I just recently bought an iPhone and I wanted to add some tones and various music to it. Will my music be okay if I plug my iPhone into my computer?
