What would be my better operating system?

I'm assuming I will get biased answers on this, but I'm asking anyway. I'm 18 have been using a pc my whole life. I like almost everything about it, especially Microsoft office. As for mac, I have used one in school and they seem difficult to operate. I have heard good things about mac like how it is resistant to viruses and how many people never go back to PC. Other things to consider: I absolutely love Google, but it doesn't seem to have a preferred OS. I use ipod/iphone and i find them and their apps convenient. Lastly, my preferred email would be windows live/outlook. Judging on that information would it be more convenient for me to switch to mac?

Macs are better, i myself prefer windows because i one thing. I like to game. If you don't play games that need windows.id go with mac

Go for Mac… Less threat to virus… Also check windows 8

So first of all there's not a best operating system.

I personally would tell you that linux (debian/wheezy) is a great os.
But why would I do that? It's because for me it is.

Generally the best os for someone is the os he needs.
If you often play pc games you will stick to using windows.
However if you're mainly doing thinks in the internet or working with office programs linux or mac will be an alternative.

But since you are mainly using microsoft programs you probably should stick to it, just because you are used to it unless there are things you really do not like about it. And it takes time to learn how to use another os, so if you are not willing to spend that time better don't do it.
(Never change a running system:-)

And about that google thing. Google has developed a linux based OS (chrome os).

Its not a matter of what is better, mac and windows each have their own strengths, personally i prefer windows, i have never liked the mac operating system, go for whatever one you are most comfortable using, it is true that there are less viruses for macs but there are starting to be more written for them, if you use a decent antivirus and antimalware program and use a bit of common sense windows is absolutely fine and safe enough to use

I would like to suggest you, use Mac OS because it is less virus affected. There are lots of advance applications on Mac i.e not available in other OS. I'm using Mac from last 7 years without installing antivirus on it and it is running in tip top shape.

  • Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?
  • What is the iphone 3gs original operating system (IOS)? I just bought a used iphone 3gs and the guy who was selling it to me reset the phone and i need to know what the IOS number is, It needs to be activated to
  • What does maximum operating altitude mean? Because I read on apple.com that she maximum operating altitude for a MacBook Pro and iPhones, etc was 10, 000 ft. How do people still use them in planes?
  • Missing operating System on laptop? I have a Acer 7560 Laptop and I reseted my hard drive (like deleted everything) because it was so slow and some guy put a lot of programs when I wanted it fixed so it was useless. I thought it was going to be like the iPhone when you start all over but now when I turn it on all it says is "missing operating system" and I don't have a recovery disk or usb! So it's stuck like that. Can I buy a disk or usb online if so what type or do I need to take it to someone.
