What would you think in this situation?
You're sitting in class and your only friend in class is out sick. It's free time and the moment and you're extremely bored and want somebody to talk to, but everyone is already in their little cliques and you don't want to be annoying and intrude. Finally, you see hope. The quiet kid in class, an average looking girl who only speaks to sometimes mumble a sarcastic remark or rolls her eyes at other's stupidity, is once again, sitting by herself and messing around on her iPhone.
You go up to her desk and bring a chair next to hers and ask her what she's doing on her phone. She looks hesitant to answer, then mutters something about playing a game. You know she's lying because you saw her scrolling through text on the Internet, but you decide to smile and ask her how her day's been.
She attempts to give you a friendly smile but you see her glancing at her phone longingly as if she'd rather have that than you, but responds with an exaggerated happy voice, "My day's been great! How about yours?"
You feel more than awkward now that you've even attempted to talk to her, but decide to try and break her of her shell by talking about what you've done that day, why your friend isn't at school, and how you swore there was a worm in the school's salad.
She tries to look interesting in what you're saying but only responds with, "Oh, really?" and "Wow, that's cool." and you notice her gaze keeps on looking everywhere but your eyes, as if she's afraid that your gaze will kill her. Her face remains neutral minus a slight smirk and raised eyebrows.
The moment you finish your story, she nods her approval and immediately goes back to searching the web on her phone, er, playing games. You sigh and get up and walk away and notice that the girl looks both slightly relieved and somewhat disappointed that you left.
What are your thoughts?
Lol. I'm sorry, haha, i don't mean to laugh. But, to tell you the truth, from what you wrote she seemed nervous and unconftorable. Nervous, because you said she kept looking everywhere but you. She seemed relieved when you left, because it was awkward and unconftorable for her. Maybe, if you tried talking to her mor eoften, she would feel more conftorable. And, about the lie she said about playing a game, she probably lied because she was emberrassed of whatever she was doing or she didn't want you to know. I don't know. Perhaps she likes you thats why she looked dissapointed when you left.
- You think I could buy a iPhone 5 if i work what you guys think? You guys think that if i work at McDonald or any store i can afford to buy the iPhone 5? And pay every month
- Would an elephant make a good pet? I think that they might, Maybe you can tie it to a tree in the backyard I have heard that some animals make great pets. There are rabbits and parrots that are pretty cool. There are also more unusual animals like a donkey and a deer that are supposedly also good as a pet. Now, I know that an elephant can get to be a little large, but I understand that they are smart, kind, and can understand English. Heck, I even saw on the TV that some can paint, like music and can work an iPhone. Would they make a great pet?
- What would you do in this parenting situation? You just got out of Walmart. Your 14-year old son calls and says he broke his iPhone case and you need to buy him a new one in case if he drops it and you'll have to pay for it. You also tell him you're getting a hamburger pizza for him and he said he didn't want hamburger. He's making kind of a big deal out of it, too.
