No, that is if you are referring to the phone receiving the call, there will not be a sound if they've got it set to vibrate or "silent". If you are asking if you will hear the ringing over the phone of the iPhone while you are calling it then yes of course, as with any other phone.
- Why can't I hear the ring when I'm calling someone? I have had my phone for a few months now its pretty new and it's an iPhone 4S but when I call someone I can't hear the ring?
