When can I expect the 7th generation iPhone to come out?
Is it going to come out at all? The reason I ask is because I'm going to pass on upgrading my iPhone 4 this go-around but I'll get the next upgrade if it comes out within a year.
The iPhone 5 is technically the 7th Generation iPhone. If you wait for the actual iPhone 7, assuming naming conventions stay the same from the iPhone 3, then you will have to wait for the 5S, 6, 6S, and then you'll get the iPhone 7. Each phone would be released annually, so it wouldn't be until 2016 that the iPhone 7 would come out.
Next year. Apple has released an iPhone every year since 2007.

5th - iPhone 4S
6th - iPhone 5
