When i installed ios 7.0.6 i had to plug into itunes? - 1

My phone asked me if i wanted to update to ios.7.0.6 so i say yes and it was updating then when it finished updating it showed the usb and then an arrow then the itunes sign soi plugged it into itunes and it said to restore iphone. What does restore do?

Seeing this on your iPhone means it is in Recovery Mode. This is when your device is PERHAPS corrupt and needs a restore.

First, try hard-rebooting: Hold the power and home buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. The screen should go black. Then try to turn the device on as normal.

If all goes well, you should be fine. If not, you will need to restore your iPhone (hopefully having made a backup first).
