Even though there has been no announcement of any kind for the next iPhone, it will most likely be released around September 2014 if Apple keeps to their release cadence.
The typical pattern is one or twice a year, but that has no facts behind it.
There will always be new versions as everything is always evolving (and should be). Hardware especially is always improving and getting smaller and better. If waiting for the next version then you will always be waiting.
Who cares. Apple sucks.
There's no release date. The iPhone 5S was just announce. IPhone 6 is predicted to be announced end of 2014 though. Start looking for announcements around late August/early September 2014.
Not even Apple would know that at this point.
