Where do I rent a surround system for a wedding?
I'm getting married at Ashton Villa in August. I'm running low on my deadlines. I need to pick a CHEAP but good surround system that plays off of an iphone or ipod.
Any suggestions?
Go to your local musical instrument store. Most rent PA systems of various sizes, or at least be able to tell you where to go in your area. If they have some options, see if they have the small portable system from Bose (L1 Model 2). It's good for up to 500 people.
Ew, I don't like this answer. Bose Systems are okay but I think you're going to spend more than $200 trying to rent one. Don't go to a big box store looking for them to rent you a sound system, either. You're best off Googling "Sound Rental [Your Area]" and hitting the phones. I think two powered speakers would make more sense and they're not any more difficult to set up than the Bose System that cor is talking about.
For what it's worth, we wrote a guide that helps people execute on their iPod weddings. It's got lots of playlists, it's on Spotify, and it even has illustrated guides to help set up these sound systems and uplights. See what you think, some of the playlists are right on our site: http://www.diyreception.com

- What's the best surround sound system for music? I'm tired of having iHomes that break and/or have horrible quality, so I was just going to get a surround sound system that i can use for my iPhone. What are some good surround sound systems for mostly music and somewhat movies?
- What gift should I get my future wife for wedding? Salaam Everyone I was wondering what gift I should get my future wife to be? I will be getting married next month? * I haven't talked to her much since getting engaged last year so I don't know what she is really into… In our culture we're not supposed to talk to each other until we're married. ** Also I already got her Ring. > I was thinking > iPhone or iPad?
- Surround sound bluetooth speakers? I'm looking for some bluetooth speakers that are able to connect to my iPhone. The problem is obviously I can only connect to one bluetooth system. I'd like to be able to connect to a device that has, say, three different speakers in different parts of the room for more of a surround sound. The only thing I know of is the sonos system and frankly that's just too expensive for me. Is there any other system that's relatively cheap with decent sound quality?
