Where to call for Verizon to unlock my iphone?

I'm leaving the US to Europe for two months in two days, and i need my iphone 4s unlocked so i can use a sim card. Where do i call for them to unlock it for me? I went to Verizon yesterday and they said they do it when you call them.

Go to a Verizon Store or call Customer Service at *611 from your mobile phone or (800) 922-0204… They will unlock your phone given that you been a Verizon customer for over 60 days and account is currently paid in full and in good standing.

Forgot to mention, 4G LTE global phones like the DROID RAZR and Iphone 5 (only) are unlocked by default due to the 4G LTE sim card. There's no need to call. Verizon 3G Phones (old androids and iphone 4s and lower) need to be unlocked by customer services

  • Will it show up as a missed call if i call someone by accident for half a ring? So I accidentally called my ex on his iphone, but I quickly realized my mistake and hung up after a half ring. Like you know how when you're calling someone it rings, I hung up after the first riiiing. My question is, will it show up on his phone as a missed call? I tested it out on 2 friends. One iphone 5 and iphone 4. They both told me they didn't get a call. Am I in the clear?
  • IPhone 6s Plus, how do you mute a call while on call? (not how to mute ringer)? I have a new iPhone 6s Plus and need to listen in on conference calls without other people on the call hearing me type in the background or the kids, so how do I Mute the sounds on my end so I can listen in without disturbing the others on the call? My current phone keypad on the iPhone 6s Plus only shows 1-9,0 *, and # buttons.
  • If I unlock my Verizon Iphone 4, will I still be able to have Verizon service? I want to use my iphone with a different company, but I don't want to have a lapse in cellphone service.
  • Does a call go through right away when you call someone? I got this iPhone 5 and I was on Facebook scrolling through stuff and I guess i hit someone's phone number and my phone automaticity started calling the number. I hit end as soon as I could but did that person get that call? I accidentally called someone before and I didn't think it went through cause I hit end right away but they kept calling back. I just don't want this person to have my number.
