They all have sim card… ATT and Tmobile obviously since they are GSM

Verizon, Sprint and Virgin Mobile are CDMA… CDMA does use SIMs… But Global Ready CDMA phones do, since some customers on CDMA carriers are business customers and want to travel to other countries… 95% of Earth is GSM… Only 5% is CDMA… That is why these USA carriers make Global REady phones… The ONLY reason why their IPhone 4/4s/5 has a sim card is because it is a Global Ready CDMA phone… If traveling to another country, they will unlock the SIM slot and activate it.

Moreover, with Verizon especially, 4G LTE is a GSM tech… So even though Verizon is CDMA, they are slowly converting themselves to GSM, first with 4G LTE… This is why all 4G LTE Verizon phones have sim cards… And are ALSO therefore… Global ready
