- Which digital camera to buy for beginner? I ant to buy a digital camera as I took a new job on the cruise ships. My iPhone 6 it's not bad but I want to invest in a good camera to capture all the details. I would like your opinion on which would be the best camera for a beginner that is user friendly. I'm pretty technical so would get use it pretty quick I think. Having asked some friends they have suggested Canon dslr rebel. I have looked at the T5 but not really sure, thats why I'm here.

I want to take it to the next level, and get a good camera, and really get into photography. I've been looking at the Sony a6000, but not sure if it's a good camera for photography. Any suggestions? My budget is $600 or less.
