Which tablet is best for a university student?
I start university next year and want to purchase a tablet, I'm trying to decide between apple iPad 4 (the most recent one) and Samsung galaxy note 10.1 (2014 edition which is yet to be released). Currently I'm leaning towards the Samsung more because I like the style of OS and the neat multi tasking it offers along with the stylus, I think for a university student the Samsung tablet would be easier for notes/research etc along with field work (I'm going into a envio science course). However I've had many apple products myself (iPod touch, nano, iPhone etc) and know how fast the iOS is, but I'm thinking the simplicity of the iPad perhaps will prove to be to difficult when wanting to do more complicated tasks eg efficient note taking with pictures & graphs.
So what's your opinion? Samsung tablet or apple? And why?
Any university students which use either tablet please say what you like/dislike about the tablet & and suggestions!
For a university student, definitely go for samsung note 10.1, as it has preloaded apps specifically for students such as:
- apps that make studying and note-taking easier- lets you highlight and write directly on over 150, 000 e-textbooks.
- the S pen - its great for taking notes, can automatically straighten your line as you write, and of course, recognize and solve mathemetical formulas.
- preloaded with adobe photoshop making it much easier to edit photos

- Which tablet is best for me? - 1 I'm a student in 10th grade, and am buying a tablet to help with typing notes in school. I have an iPhone 5, but wanted something to play games on, watch videos, bring on long- car drives, browse the web, and as I mentioned type notes. I'm thinking of buying the iPad Air, iPad Mini, Surface 2 or Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.
- What's the best laptop for an incoming college student? I'm going to college this fall and I'm torn between a laptop like the dell xps 13 or the Macbook air 13'. I really like the touchscreen option for the dell, but I like apple products, even though I've only ever used an iPad and iPhone. I might use products like photoshop and blendr for fun. I'm so torn. Are MacBooks easy to get used to? Is a touch screen helpful? Which laptop do I get?
- What's the best camera for a college student? I'm looking for a decent camera under $250 for college. I don't really like using my iPhone as a camera because the pictures aren't great. My main priority is low-light. I don't need a lot of features, just a good camera that takes nice pictures, especially in low-light. Right now I'm leaning towards the Sony Cybershot DSC WX150 (slightly above my price range) or a Canon Powershot 510.
- Tablet snapshots on the Tablet and iPhone? I'm not very tech-savvy guy, go please forgive me. But does a Samsung note 10.1-the 2013- snapshot consume more memory space than a iPhone 4 in general? Here are the dimensions(again I do not know what I'm doing) Tablet(Note) 10.1" widescreen 1280x800 WXGA TFT LCD 149 pixels per inch (ppi) iPhone 4 640 x 960 pixels, 3.5 inches (~330 ppi)
