Why Android phones are slower than Iphone?

I'm an Iphone 5S owner and used to have a Samsung Galaxy S3 before. For me, the iphone is the fastest and smoothest phone ever made. I have been trying out the latest android phones at shops but none can beat the iphone. Why is the mobile industry too one-sided. I want Android phones (mostly Asian companies) to be better than the iphone.

Android's biggest problem is not being able to be optimized for a small set of hardware configurations. The Android approach to optimization is to brute force everything through more powerful hardware instead of taking the time to actually refine the code for efficiency.

You can't compare an S3 to a 5S, the technology between them are very far removed. However, S5 to iPhone 5S is different. Odd that your testing showed the S5 to be slower because if you look at the specs, S5 has a quad core processor vs 5S dual core, 2G RAM on S5 v 1G RAM on iPhone 5S, plus storage expansion capacity on the S5.
That said, compute specs have never really mattered when comparing apple to anything else. The apple OS has historically proven to be more efficient than windows even when running at 1/8 the RAM and 1/2 the processing power. So who's to say the same is not true for android v apple…
in the end it's OS preference. I really think speed is negligible between apple and Samsung these days

Every time a phone in proves so does its software, storage and speed. You can't compare the s3 to something like the s5 because it two generations up. Even the s4 is different in some ways. It would be like comparing the Iphone 4 to the new Iphone 6 or 6+…

  • Why is the iphone so much better than other smart phones? I'm not trying to start a fight here. It just seems like Apple has access to alien technology or something. I've been trying to help my dad with his Samsung stratosphere and the difference is staggering. Another thing worth noting is that any of my friends who have non iphone smart phones also carry their ipod touches around with them. That says something.
  • Why is texting slower than snap insta kik etc I've found time and time again when trying to text or send pictures sending it through text is significantly slower than almost every other messenger app. Facebook, insta, snap, kik all of them are leagues faster at sending pictures than the basic text feature on my iphone. Why is this? I don't keep old conversations long. Yet it takes almost 5 mins to send a pic of a screenshot on text and it takes 5 seconds on anything else.
  • Why is my Internet slower than usual? I use xfinity Internet and out of the blue my phone gets a tad bit slower is it the modem or my phone? I tried disconnecting reconnecting unplugging Internet and plugging back in I'm on 3G iPhone 4
  • Why Iphone is faster than android phones? First of all, I'm NOT FANBOY! I have Galaxy s3 and my mother has Apple Iphone 4s. No matter what the hardware and the specs.her phone never EVER has delay or lags… I mean wtf? I have quad-core processor with 1gb ram. And that iphone has dual core processor… My GS3 should be twice as fast… But it isn't. Can someone please explain this to me. But in simple words, because i don't know very much about cell phones.
