Why are contacts showing up twice under messages on my iPhone?
This morning when my boyfriend sent me a text it showed up under a second listing of his name instead of the one already in my messages. They are listed exactly the same, but one only contains messages from this morning. Why is it doing this/how do I fix it? I have an iPhone 4 running iOS6 that hasn't been updated since that came out in the fall. My email contacts aren't synced to my phone, so that can't be the cause.
It could be the message cache under you boyfriend's name is full and need to open a new fresh cache and if this is happening with several contacts then there must be a duplicate conflict.
- Will my iPhone still work good after I dropped it twice? Well I got the phone in December and I dropped it in school and it got a little damage but no harm no foul, but I dropped it today again in school and now there's more damage. So far everything seems to eb fine it turns on and all but I haven't texted no one yet so i don't know. DO you think it will eb fine or should I begin considering getting a new one soon. - Why won't my iphone 4 send text messages to one of my contacts? My iphone 4 is in perfect working condition and it successfully receives and sends text messages to all my contacts except for one. I had been texting that one contact all day, but around midnight, my phone kept saying, "messge send failure" with a little "!" beside the text every time i tried to reply. Why is this? It's been around fifteen hours and it still won't allow me to send messages to that one contact.
- Why does my new iPhone 5c shows my old number under messages option? I'm trying to activate my iMessage, but I want to send & receive as my current number. However, my new, current number is not appearing. It shows my old number. I'm assuming its because I backed up my phone on my itunes to get my contacts back, But how can I fix this so it could show my current number instead of my old number that I'm not using anymore.
- Why does my iphone5 receive text messages twice? When my iphone5 is on the lock screen and I receive text messages, unless I respond or look at it right away I will receive the same text message a minute later. Does this happen to everyone? How can I turn this off? It's very annoying!
