Why can't I receive long text messages anymore?
My girlfriend and I have never had this problem before. I have an IPhone 3GS and she has a Droid Razr. Whenever she sent a long text message to me, it would just break it up into several texts. Then, for some reason, now when she sends me a long text message, I don't receive it at all. She still receives my long text messages perfectly fine and she can send other people long text messages but why can't I receive them?
Sounds like a software glitch in your phone. Not much you can do there besides a back-up restore.
I recommend your girlfriend start breaking up her txts to avoid missing anything important. Txt messaging is not e-mail, it shouldn't need to be so long.
I don't know about the Droid Razr, but I do know that iPhone shows you how many characters you can type before it breaks it up into multiple messages.
If your back-up restore doesn't work, it wouldn't hurt to talk it down to the apple store and have them look at it for you.
- Why don't I receive alerts or a notification when I receive a text and I already checked my settings? I adjusted my setting and even put the ringer and notifications on and put the volume and ringer on and I receive no alert, no pop up, alert or notification when someone texts me. Why? This is the iPhone X! I went to the cell phone/ carrier store and they didn't help me. They said to go to the apple store or check the settings. I already adjusted the settings. So what do I do now?
