Why can't I update my apps on my IPhone? - 1
It's not jail broken. I log in with my Apple ID but once I go to update an app, it tells me some other Apple ID that I use to have but I have no idea what the password is for it, I've tried to recover it but I can't. Since I made a new one shouldn't it stop asking me for my old one?
You have a blackberry probably.
The apps are associated with the Apple ID used to purchase them. Apps you acquired with the old Apple ID can't be updated with the new Apple ID. You can manage your Apple ID and reset the password here…
If your apps were purchased using the other ID than that is what your "rights" to those apps are tied to. You need to either download the apps again using the new ID or go back to the old ID.
- Why won't the App store let me update my apps - Iphone 4s? After downloading the new software for the iPhone (iOS 6.1) it will not let me update my apps. I open up the app store on my phone and go to the update tab, and it remains blank (despite saying there's 7 updates). Does anyone know what to do? I have tried restarting my phone.
- Why can't I log into the AppStore and update or download apps? Every time I try to download or update an app it's stops it right away, so I looked it up and it said to sign out restart your iPhone and sign back in then it will work. But I can't sign back in or download or update my apps. What can I do?
- Why am I being asked for card payment to update and download free apps (iPhone)? I've reviewed other people's comments re the same problem on apple support and the only answer was to use the 'none' option when selecting card type but no such option is available?
- IPhone update iOS 6. Why can't I get my apps back? After I updated my iPhone 4S I've noticed that some apps have disappeared. The App Store has chaned and when I looked up Instagram it said open and it opened up but the app did not appear. What the hell? Is there any way I can get these back without going through the App Store looking up what I want and opening up. That's ridiculous.
