Why can't I watch HD videos on youtube on my iphone 5
I want to apologize if this has been asked before but I just couldn't find a thread that had this discussion. I just realized the other day that I can't watch HD videos on youtube on the iPhone 5. My friend just got a Galaxy S3 and we were comparing the playback quality and there's a huge difference. Both of us were connected to a Wi-Fi network and we chose the same exact video and on the Galaxy S3, it tells you that its playing the HD version of the video whereas on the iPhone 5, it by default was playing the low quality version and there was no way for me to choose the HD version. So my question is, can the iPhone 5 play HD video on youtube at all? Is there an option that I need to select for it to do that?
Because it is too much for the internet signal on your iphone to handle. But you can jailbreak it and download "HD viewer" and it should work just fine!
I have a iPhone 5 and it plays HD YouTube videos all the time. You may need to check your Wi-Fi speed or turn you cellular data off when connected to Wi-Fi. But as I said before mine always play HD on YouTube.
- YouTube on my iPhone and IPod won't let me watch certain videos? At random times I try to watch a video like a lyrics video. Today I was gonna watch chasing the sun by the wanted and YouTube said "you do not have permission to access the required resource" I have no restrictions keeping me from watching anything and it just recently started doing that.
- Why can't i play youtube videos in background/lock screen on my iphone anymore? I always used to be able to do this, is there any way to still do it? Or is there any way to get an older version of the app that will alow me to do it? And does anyone know why they stopped this function? Very frustrating!
- Why can't I watch videos taken with my iPhone on my computer? I took some videos today with my iPhone 4s and I tried to watch them on my computer but it doesn't work. When I click on it, it just shows a black screen but I can still hear the sound. I tried to delete my quicktime and download the new version but nothing changed. I've also tried to watch the videos on iTunes but there wasn't any difference. I don't have a Mac by the way.
- WHY CAN'T I WATCH VIDEOS ON MY IPHONE, I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE I downloaded the new YouTube app from google. On my old iPod touch the videos would load fine but on my new iPhone they won't even play 10 seconds before it freezes and won't play! I reload the video and app and it still won't play, I even deleted it and installed it 10 times and still the same problem! Please help I really don't know what to do (plus these videos are checked to be able to watch on mobile devices)!
