Why can't you unlock an iphone 4 on network 3?
Hi, recently bought an iPhone 4 locked to Network 3, i'm on vodafone. I have rang 2 shops to see if they can unlock it for me, and both said 'There's no unlock available for iPhone's on network 3'.
Does anyone know if this is going to be permanent? Like will they ever have an unlock for them? And if not does anyone know whether there's a way i can get it unlocked?
Before anyone says 'get the person you bought it off to ring three and they'll unlock it for them' the person has a new iphone with her contract and i'm pretty sure three won't unlock this one for her if she isn't using it?
Or will they? Any ideas? I can't seem to find a way to get in touch with 3 without being a customer with them. I'm desperate to get this iphone unlocked as i paid a lot of money for it and its basically useless to me.
Any help would be fab as i've been looking on the internet and everybody just seems to be saying 'ring up 3 and they'll unlock it for you' but as i'm not a 3 customer i'm unsure if they'd do it for me.
You can try a third part to help you unlock your phone, these are useful in my opinion because they do it almost instantly, or they give you the tools to do it. I'm not sure where you live but I live in the United States and this helped me unlock my phone so that I could use it with T-Mobile.
- Wi-Fi on iPhone keeps saying unable to join network (my network name)? How can I fix this! It's been like this for a week but it works on my laptop fine. I tried unplugging it for a few seconds, I tried resetting network settings, I tried turning my phone off then on again, and I know I'm typing it right. I even typed it in upper case AND lower case. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
- What's the difference between off-network and on-network? I'm try to work out which is best for what I want out of the service. I want protection while on my iPhone 5 (both when connected via Wi-Fi and when roaming on 3/4G). Website with product details: http://www.umbrella.com/products/umbrella-security-features/
- Looking for a way to evenly share network speed in a house network? So my problem is that I play games online, that need a good ping. Whenever anyone from any other computer goes to load a video on youtube in a high quality, it takes up all the speed, gives me more than 400 ping and just pretty much cuts everyone else out. Is there a way to share the network evenly between every user? Our download speed is about 6mb/s, so if we have 4 active users, i'd like it to share it like 1.5mb/s each.
- If you buy an iphone 5 on a network with a contract can you leave? Like if I were to buy the iPhone 5 on a contract with sprint and then took the SIM card out and left there network to go to somewhere else would that work? But I also heard it illegal to "unlock" your phone or whatever
