Why can't i add songs to my iphone?

I got a new laptop over the week for college reasons, anyways i downloaded itunes hoping to add new music also. When i copied a cd to my itunes i tried dragging the songs from the library to my phone but it just wouldnt let me. Any ideas?

Yes go to the top left of the iTunes window and click where it says 'Store'. Then go down to 'Authorise this Computer' then just add your account… Easy!

You could try moving the songs to a playlist and then going to your iPhone tab and going to the bottom of the screen where it say Auto-fill and Settings. On the left side of this it should say music. Click the down arrow and click on whatever You named the playlist. Before clicking auto-fill click settings and make sure the erase everything when auto-filling is UNCHECKED and click auto-fill. If you don't see the tab click on your iPhone name and go to music and turn off sync music to iPhone if you still don't see it then in able to do this you will have to Restore.

An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes account at a time.once you switched to a new iTunes account or a new computer. You have to authorize your iPhone to it at first, then you can upload music and video from the new iTunes to your iPhone. But this way will overwrite the original files on iPhone with the new iTunes. You may try this iPhone transfer, it can help you copy files from iPhone to computer for backup, you can also use it as an iTunes alternative to upload music and video. It will not erase your original iPhone files. It's safe and works pretty well for me.
