To make money.
Because they want money. If they stop making new phones the money stops too. They have to keep up with the times and what the customers want. If they didn't make another phone in ten years nobody would have the iPhone 4S they'd have the galaxy29 or whatever is out at the time.
Apple has always been about creating the perfect union between hardware and software in order to deliver the best possible user experience.

- Why did everyone make a big deal that the new iphone can bend? Why did people complain about this? It still works the same even though it can bend right? So why the big deal about it?
- WHY DID APPLE MAKE THE IPHONE OF GLASS? My 2 year old was messing with my phone today and accidentally dropped it 2 feet off of the ground, cracked. I can't believe this! I've only had it for almost a week! (5 days) It's the back that's cracked, not the front. The case and screen protector that i ordered just came in almost an hour after he dropped it. I guess thats just my luck:/ is there anyway I can get it fixed?
