Why do 1st graders have iPhones?

I know about 3 kids who are 1st graders who all have iPhones, they're all between the ages of 5 and 7, though there's another kid I know who's about 8 who also has a really expensive phone too, not an iPhone though.
My friend's 4year old cousin has a really expensive iPod or iTouch, whatever the f**k it's called, my friend's brother is 9 and also owns one.
Not to mention, I also know tons of kids who are under 10 who own iPods, some even own iPads.
Why is this?

Parents these days… I'm glad my nephew who's 7 only has his Nintendo DS and Wii.

Its kind of the parents fault because they think their children are safer with a phone. There are also those types of parents that give their kids money instead of love and attention. Sad but true. Thats why kids are so social now than before. You also have to consider these ages. We had gameboys as children. I guess phones are the new "gameboys", figuraly.

I'm too old to ask mommy and daddy for that cool new gadget on tv and that everybody has… Put yourself in their position, that age they ask for what they see

Parents are spoiling their kids. When they grow up they'll end up like betchs.look at the highschool kids who get spoiled their parents spending all that money on a brand new car that will only get into an accident within a year or 2.

spoiling your children has no benefits at all. They always will rely on other people and never learn to do things for themselves.

i can understand a concerned parent but serious an iphone is not concerned. In my state that iphone would get stolen within a day if brought to school and not kept close.

their are a lot of kids who are the same way majority of them are spoiled to begin with.me i'm 19 years old you know what kind of phone i got? A samsung juke. It's like a mini vibrator i can shove it up my own @ss thats how small it is. It's pretty old as well and mine is broken.fell into the toilet now it turns off and on at random moments and you need to press the buttons really hard for it to work.had this phone for i don't know 5-6 years already.i'll be having it for another year this year.
