Why do Android phones have low memory problems but Iphones don't?
It's just the way they are made differently.
Iphones are alot better design and better hardware. Thats also why iphones don't lag and play games so much better then other phones. Design is a huge part of that.
You need to "think outside the box" with this. Apple is the SINGLE AND ONLY iOS manufacturer… Android has countless dozens of different manufacturers. And as far as Android specs go:
As of November 2013, current versions of Android recommend at least 512 MB of RAM (with 340 MB as a requirement, and require a 32-bit ARMv7, MIPS or x86 architecture processor (latter two through unofficial ports),[ together with an OpenGL ES 2.0 compatible graphics processing unit (GPU).
With that being the case, many manufacturers install the bare minimum into their devices. That's why a lot of Android devices are pure junk. I've seen many tablets advertised at discount stores for under $50.
So when apps are developed, they are usually tested on current/high end devices… Since Apple is the single supplier of iPhones and iPads, the apps are fully optimized for those devices… And apps developed for Android… Can't be optimized for every single (DIFFERENT) Android device…
So can you kind of understand? The best solution to this would be for Google to raise the min. Specs a bit…
- Why is my iPhone 4 memory low? I checked the settings and it says capacity 6.3 GB and available 1.1 GB But I hardly have anything on my phone? 2 songs, 7 videos, 315 pictures and 18 apps. Shouldn't my available space be more than just 1.1? And also, would I lose my pictures and everything if I jailbreak it? And how would I jailbreak it? iPhone 4 iOS 6.1
- Why hasn't internal memory on phones increased much? I got passed down an iphone 3Gs with a storage capacity of 32gb a number of years ago. Most pads don't seem to have too much more, and many phones of people I know come standard at 16gb. Considering the amount time that's passed, I would have thought that creating larger storage capacity for in a smaller space for cheaper would have taken more precedent, but as far as phones go, you still pay a decent premium for it.
- Why do so many kids have iphones, blackberrys, and smart phones? I mean little kids as young as 5 years old. It really does annoy me because they are little and don't need a really expensive phone just for emergencies. I always see them on the phones and ipods. My brother is almost in middle school and has the cheapest phone. And i'm in highschool and my phone is nowhere near the expesive phones the elementary kids have infact my phone is used so i got for free.
- My iPhone says it's low on memory? I just got my broken iPhone replaced with a new one and I have 300 pictures on it and 5 apps and no music yet and it says it's low on memory? It's so low it won't do the update! It's a 16 GB phone and it says I've used 12.9GB in Settings>General>Usage>Storage I just don't see how that's possible!
