Why do both numbers show up under imessage?

I have 2 iphones. One is supplied through work, and the other one is my personal phone. I used my apple id on both of them. I notice when I go in the messing or facetime settings, both phone numbers are listed on my personal phone. Will this cause any problems, or is this normal since I'm using imessage on both iphones? I don't see a option to delete the number.

You are already seeing what CAN happen with you use the SAME Apple ID for two different phones. Now think of what COULD happen if you were to send a "personal message" to a co-worker from your personal phone and it shows up on your work phone, which happens to be in the hands of another co-worker, and UP pops that message?

Unless you OWN each of the iDEVICES that are sharing an Apple ID, iTunes or iCloud accounts, it is BeST not to share. If it were my work phone, I would delete the current APPLE ID and create a new one for it. But that's me.

  • Will using iMessage cost me money under my provider new charge? My phone provider(telus) is adding a 40 cent per text to people outside of Canada so my question is, since me and my friend both have iPhones, if iMessage counts as a text or not cause it uses Wi-Fi?

If having water damage in your iPhone 5c means you aren't covered by warranty, is it acceptable to open it and try to fix it as opening it also means it isn't covered by warranty. Therefore if you can't fix it yourself, apple can still take it out of warranty?
  • Songs won't show up under the artist on my iPhone? I added the album to my phone and it says its on there on itunes with the rest of that artists albums. However if I look at the music on my phone the album isn't under that artist. I went to check under songs and albums and I can find it there. The info on the album says the artists name so it's not the info thats wrong… How do I get it to show up under the artist?
