Why do I look so ugly in pics?

I'm looking at myself in the mirror and I have an ok face shape. Like I'm ok with the way I look. I take a pic on my iPhone and WTF WHO IS THIS UGLY PERSON like my cheeks look huge and my face is so long, my eyes look small when I have huge eyes, my nose looks bigger, and when my nose comes down the lines are crooked everything is uneven.
I'm def not photogenic but how do I make myself look better

You look the same in the mirror as you do in pics but you're just more tolerant to seeing your mirrored self. It's called the mere-exposure effect. This vid explains it really well:

If you really want to, you can use contouring with makeup (to make you look more photogenic in pictures), check out Givegoodface's channel on youtube, he does amazing tutorials on contouring and stuff
Also, Some people just don't look the same in the camera because the angle that you point at your face is not the same angle that you are looking into the mirror, so your face may look different!

OMG! That's exactly my question. I've already asked that on photography section a couple of months ago. And photographers says some average-looking people look good on camera while some drop-dead gorgeous people look weird. It probably is because your features are shapy. The lightning don't do well, when your features are shapy.

People with round, shapless features look the same in fresh and in pictures.

Ever wonder why some women look really hot in all pics, no matter how the photo is taken? Its because they are hot. Lol… Not everyone is like that. Its life in the food chain.

Don't stress out the way that you perceive yourself isn't the way hat others do you are just a little over judgmental towards yourself. The way that you described your self just sounds cute.besides if you want to look better just smile.

if you say that you like how you look in the mirror then that's all that matters *** WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK! Because at the end of the day your the one who has to live with it not them.

Sometimes I feel the exact same way! If you think you look bad in pictures, maybe you can try to smile/pose differently. You could also put a filter(like black and white.etc) on the picture. That's what I like to do lol
