Why do I only get iPhone text messages?
I have the iPhone 5. My friends have told me recently that they have been texting me (non-iphone users) and that I never reply. The problem is, I never get anything. It seems now as if the only people I get messages from are from iPhone users. I have played around in the settings and everything seems to be normal, I have even turned off/on my phone. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.
Added (1). @Zoe: IMessage is on, yes. Is it supposed to be off?
Is your Imessage on? They can only be sent between iphone users. To check you go on settings, messages and imessage.
- Why won't one person get my text messages So I can text everyone except one user I have an iPhone with verizon and she has a iPhone with Verizon and she tells me she texts me but I don't get them and she doesn't receive mines either we get them sometimes not all the times it's bothering me not talking to her i don't know if its my phone or her phone or it's Verizon's network is anyone have problems with this?
- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
- Why do I only get text messages when I have Wi-Fi on iphone 4? Last week i was texting my boyfriend and when i left my house i never received his text but when I got home a notfication pops up and it says he sent me a text 2 hours ago. Can someone please help me if that makes aby sense?
- Why can't my boyfriend get any of my text messages? This happens occasionally. Sometimes he gets them but sometimes he doesn't. He has an Samsung android or whatever and I have an iPhone. It's really annoying. He needs a new phone anyways because the battery goes super fast even if he isn't using it. His phone also has been recently just turning off by itself but he thinks it's just because it runs out of battery. He has gotten a new battery several times but it doesn't do anything.
