Why do I think I look awful in pictures?

Okay, so if you have an iPhone, you know when you use the front camera, it's like a mirror, but when you take a picture, it flips around. Just like a regular camera, and it's how other people see you. Anyways, I think I look halfway decent in the mirror, and then in pictures, I don't. The main reason I think this is because my hair parts to the left, and them when it's switched around it looks really weird. I've asked other people about it and shown the the same picture of me flipped to how they see me and then how I see myself in the mirror and they say looks the same to me. They say I don't look bad, and I'm crazy if I think I do. Does anyone else think this too or is it just me? Is there some sort of psychology behind it or what? Maybe it's because I'm used to seeing myself in a mirror mostly… I have no idea.

Listen, just don't take pictures!

That happens to me too. What it is, is that you will never actually see your face. You only ever see your reflection. So when you take a picture, the symmetry in your face is reflected differently, therefore you look different to how you see yourself in the mirror.

Same thing happens to me, I don't know why either. Its like the camera brings out my darks circles or something.

HEY Don't think you're crazy, that happens to me too, and I bet to millions out there. I have no idea why that is, but I'm pretty sure it does have to do with our brains. I not only hate my pictures that I take with my iphone because they are switched around, but also because I think I look so much better when I look at myself in the mirror than in the pictures taken on my ihpone or any device. It's sad to know that in order to know if I looked different in pictures or the mirror, I have analized looking at my friends in real life and then in pictures. It turned out that I think they look the same and some of them look even prettier in photos than in real life.
