Why do my laugh lines look so deep in photos?
In the mirror they look like a normal 20 year olds laugh lines, but when taken on an iphone suddenly it looks like I'm an infant with chubby cheeks and deep laugh lines. This sucks, is this normal?
It could be the lighting. It's normal for lighting to make something appear a little different on camera.
An iPhone has a wide angle lens, so if someone (or you) takes the picture too close, it will distort your face and make it look wider. That's probably what you're seeing. If you have your photo taken with a normal angle lens, around 50mm, you'll probably see closer to what you see in the mirror.

A strong directional light like bright sunshine can cause harsh contrast.
If it has an LED flash, that can look harsh.
Another factor could be the angle at which you hold the camera and tilt your head.
