Why do some people feel the need to act like a holes sometimes?

I was on the train and this dude in a suit sits down next to a women. He is looking at his Iphone and the women politely asks him what time it is? He stares up and says in a sarcastic loud tone" What, you don't have a phone or watch? " And all of a sudden the whole train is staring at him trying to embarrass the women. I politely take out my phone and tell the women the time, and then the man gives me a rude stare and leaves.

Added (1). @Cheesus Christ, can you read? He already had his phone out. The women just as easily could have stolen it while he was looking at it if that is what she wanted to do.

Added (2). @Squid so he couldn't just say he didn't know the time or he wasn't in the mood to talk. He had to embarrass the women? You're not very bright, are you?

Added (3). LOL Squid, wtf are you smoking? What pre conceived notion? There are many things he could have done if he really didn't want to deal with that situation. Like ignore her. Did he have to make it a point to humiliate her like that? Whatever man.

Added (4). Yea whatever dude.

It's just the way some people are. Not much to be done about it. I like the way you handled it, though.

It's a very common practice for people to ask you what time it is so you will take out your watch or phone, then steal it. Don't be so quick to judge people.

You don't know what's going on in that man's life. That's why your God says not to judge.

Maybe he just got a text that his wife is leaving him or that his mother is in a coma. You don't know. We all have bad days and aren't always on our best behavior. Should we all be condemned?

He doesn't owe the woman anything, not even an explanation. Just because the reality of life doesn't fit into your preconceived notion of what he should have done does not change the possibilities.

It's clear you're just looking for a pat on the back, so "Good job, kiddo".

Carry on.
