Why do they use slight knock off products on icarly?
Why do they use slight knockoffs on icarly that are almost the same thing as the real product? For ex: they use Pear Phones instead of iPhones and Splashface instead of Facebook. If Nickelodeon gets permission from Facebook and Apple to use their product, can't they use the real thing?
They're not allowed to use their products due to copyright reasons. So they create objects very similar to what you would find in an apple store
Most companies pay large sums of money to have their products used on a show, and then also start having some creative input (when and how their product can be used, etc.) They can also specify that the show not use their competitors products…
It can get very, very complicated. Who are the companies investing in iCarly? The show is produced by Nickelodeon, owned by Viacom which owns hundreds of companies, and is in turn owned by National Amusements… It goes on and on. Usually, it's much easier for the creators of a show to make up their own products rather than get clearance to use the actual ones.
There might also be a backlash from parents and viewers if the show came across as a huge commercial for Apple products.
- Why doesn't anyone sue china for all the fake products they make? I've juse seen a few pictures of things like fake KFC, fake starbucks, fake pizza hut, fake iphones called Hiphones, apad (fake Ipad) as well as many cars that look the same as the original (bmw, audi, mercedes etc.) except they are fake and have different names. All of these items, shop logos etc.look exactly like the real ones (really good replicas) yet all they have different is the name. How comes no one sues any one in china for blatantly stealing other peoples ideas?
- What iPhone charger should I get? The apple or knock off? They only have a $7 dollar difference at Best Buy (apple charger being more $). Are they the same? Am I better off to get the knock off and save $7? Will an apple charger last longer?
- Is there any iphone games that are knock offs of the old gameboy pokemon games? I'm looking for a games like pokemon ruby, sapphire, blue, yellow, etc those were always my favorite and extremely addicting if I could find a game like that for my iphone that would be amazing I don't think it would be that hard for iOS to produce those kind of graphics. And please don't tell me to jail break! I'm not interested in doing that. Any help is much appreciated.
- Is it bad to use a knock-off iPhone 5 charger? I recently bought what I thought was a genuine Apple iPhone 5 charger, but it turned out to be a cheap knock off. It does charge my iPhone, but the screen says it does not support this accessory. Will it harm my iPhone in any way if I continue to use it?
