Why does everyone try to break the iphone 5s on youtube?

I have an ipod 4th generation and i'm wondering if the iphone 5s is durable

For a piece of electronic technology, yes, it is durable, but not unbreakable. Dropping it on a pebble can shatter the screen, scratch the aluminum, etc. In my experiences iPhones and iPods are pretty durable, but that doesn't mean it's not a good idea to get a case, screen protector, and warranty, as you would with any other phone, computer, or car to protect an investment. If you're eligible for an upgrade they're about $200, and it's well worth it to spend the extra money to get a decent protection plan around it, especially if you're planning to have it for at least two years. I don't know, they don't look very durable. I see people with iPhones all the time that have cracked or shattered screens… But if you get a good case it would be fine.

Get fake iPhones to drop. You can buy a fake iPhone 5s on amazon for like $12.

But SOME people do real drop tests with real iPhones because it's they're job, and they get paid to test the durability of the iPhone.

5S is aluminum casing so yes its really durable. The screen can always get damaged if dropping on cement or rocks obviously.
