Why does my att iphone 5 use up so much data?
Ok. I've been paying $150 a month for my att provider. 5 gigs end up using 8gigs by the end of the month. Yes, i was a heavy user, apps facebook, etc along with videos. In a days worth id spend 500mb easy. Last month, and this month i've been eying my data usage and still went over. I've turned my data off, terminated apps from running in the background. My brother has the same iphone, same att and he spends 2-4 hrs using his personal hotspot and his usage goes up KB's, yes KB's! He doesn't FB or watch as much videos but i did trim that off. Don't understand how thats possible? Att says its bcse i'm not on Wi-Fi. Well, my area is out in the country where thr is no Wi-Fi. Any advice on how data works? What else can i do? Literally, i open my goal.com app for about 2mins mac and it uses 60+ kbs vs the 80kb that my brother uses in 2-4 hours on his ps3. Wth?

Watching a video for 30 seconds can take up more data than web browsing for 30 minutes
If you watch more than 2 hours of video in a month, you're basically screwed.
And if you have no Wi-Fi, then you Really have to stop using internet that much.
Because without Wi-Fi, you have no alternatives.
