Why does my computer constantly lose internet connection?
I have had an hp envy for about a year and ever since the first day it would connect to my router and in 30 seconds it will say i have no network connection or no internet connection. I thought it was the new router i got but i replaced it and this still happened, all of my other Wi-Fi devices (iphone, ipad, xbox 360, wii) connect fine and never have this problem. Why does my laptop do this and how can i fix it?
I have this problem from time to time. Here is how I approach the problem.
1) Disconnect the internet router for 10 seconds (I recommend 20-30) and then plug it back in again.
2) Wait for the internet to reboot.
3) If still having problems, restart computer.
4) If still having problems after that, go do something else for the rest of the day.
5) If problems continue the next day, call internet service provider or if you still have your computer/laptops warranty, call the manufacturer.
My problems usually stop around 1) and 3).
- Wi-Fi dropping constantly, on my computer only? On my desktop, not old, windows 7, the internet connection keeps going out for like a minute or two, a bunch of times a day. Its not disconnected totally, just has that little yellow exclamation mark. My iphone which also uses Wi-Fi is just fine, as is every other device in the house. I updated driver for my adapter a year or so ago but that didn't fix the problem (this has been going on for a while obviously)
- Why does my Wi-Fi constantly drop on my iPhone? Even when IIm 10 feet away from the router. 's fine when IIm right next to it), my Wi-Fi will switch to LTE for a few seconds, then go back to Wi-Fi. This happens every 5 minutes or so and it really bugs me. Anything I can do to fix it?
- Why does my new computer have a much worse internet connection than old? I just bought a 19.5 HP All in one PC, and the internet connection is very slow. On my old laptop, and iPhone the internet works flawlessly. I have tried scanning for viruses, restarting router, and restarting the computer. Nothing is working. Any ideas?
- Why does my iPhone-to-PC pics & vids transfers always cut out constantly? Every time I plug my iPhone X into my laptop and transfer all pics and vids, i'm lucky if it's done 10 items in 10 minutes before it loses connection. I have to unplug then plug in again for another go. Takes hours to do 200 (mix of pics and videos). My mom has the same phone & PC, but hers transfers hundreds in about 4 minutes no problem. I've changed to a new cable. Same problem. PC 1 year old and it's done this since day 1.
