Why does my iPhone 5 say 3G? - 1
Bought the iPhone 5 about two weeks ago and somebody mentioned that my phone was running on 3G network… Isn't it supposed to be either 4G or LTE?

You need to be in a "4G" (HSPA+) or LTE area to have 4G or LTE, if you live in a Major Canadian City then you probably should be getting LTE or at least 4G. Go to your carriers website and see what network they have in your area.

That would be because your carrier only has 3G coverage in that area you were using your iPhone. When you are in an area that has 4G or LTE coverage, your phone will use it.
Carriers do NOT have service everywhere and they don't have LTE coverage everywhere they do have coverage.
