Why does my iphone 5 show 'unknown' when receiving a call?
Even though the people calling me are in my contacts. Its not because of the caller id, i'm certain.
It could be 2 reasons
1. The people calling have their caller ID blocked
2. Something (on the carrier side) is wrong.
Find out if your contacts are blocking their numbers & if not then contact your carrier about that happening
- Will it show up as a missed call if i call someone by accident for half a ring? So I accidentally called my ex on his iphone, but I quickly realized my mistake and hung up after a half ring. Like you know how when you're calling someone it rings, I hung up after the first riiiing. My question is, will it show up on his phone as a missed call? I tested it out on 2 friends. One iphone 5 and iphone 4. They both told me they didn't get a call. Am I in the clear?
- Why is it when people call my iPhone they show up UNKNOWN? I got my iphone a couple weeks ago. At first I thought it may just be something that would go away within time. But it hasn't. I have a iPhone 4 and whenever someone calls my phone they show up as unknown or blocked. I tried tiring it off for half an hour then tiring it on, then I tried to take out my SIM card and wait half an hour to turn it on again. Please, if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
- Why does my iPhone not make a sound when I receive a text from an unknown number? When I get a text message from a number that is not in my phone, my phone lights up and shows that I have a text but does not make a sound or ring. Can I change that somehow? I have an iPhone 5.
- Why does my iphone 5 say unknown when receiving a call? When I receive a phone call, my phone's caller i.d says unknown. It doesn't matter if I have the caller in my contact list.
