Why does my iPhone open my Windows 8 Photo App upon connection?

So a few hours ago I had been trying to upload all of my pictures from my phone to my new windows 8 computer. I had clicked the 'Import Photos and Videos' selection at the top of my screen when I plugged my iPhone in. When I finally solved the problem and got my pictures, I made another problem for myself. Now whenever I plug my phone in, my computer opens my Photos App and begins to import all of my photos again. This happens every time I plug my phone in, and the notification that usually pops up at the top when I plug my phone in doesn't pop up anymore.

I have tried uninstalling my phone from the computer as well as turning my computer AND phone off and then on again.

You must always use iTunes to do things like this, whether it's W 8, or not. And, it sounds like you haven't even installed iTunes yet.

So, install iTunes (latest version) on W 8, first.

Then, connect your iPhone via USB cable, AUTHORIZE it on your new W 8 PC, and sign-up OR log-in to your iTunes Store Account. Then SYNC it, as explained in iTunes' Help files.

TIP: And, make sure that you use Windows Update to get the FREE Windows 8.1 UPGRADE, W 8.0 was wonky.
