Why does my New Iphone say 3g at the top?
I bought a 4s today, with a two year sprint contract. It says 3g up at the top?
I was reading that the iphone 4s is not actually a 4g phone. Is this true?
If that's the case, should I return my Iphone and get the samsung galaxy 3s? (I was debating between the two, but I like the Iphone's usuability and I THOUGHT they were basically up to the same performance level. Since the Iphone was on sale, I decided to go with it. But, I can still return it and get the other at no return charges, since I just bought it today.
Also, siri is slow, and telling me she can't answer or just not responding. Plus the network is super slow.
IPhone 4s doesn't support 4g only iPhone 5 does. You should have bought s3 as its better than iPhone 5.
I would return it and order the iPhone 5.
The iphone 4s does not support 4g i would recommend sending it back and pre ordering the iphone 5 which does have 4g or you could try getting the samsung
4g is a new technology and wasn't in use when the iP4/iP4s were designed. Siri is well-known for being unreliable and slow as it requires an excellent connection (either via 3G or wi-fi) to work, and most places simply don't have good enough 3G connections and where the do there are often too many people demanding slices of the same pie.
If you must have 4G then you'll need to get an iP5 and pay for the 4G service. Even then, you often won't get it as 4G coverage is presently very patchy indeed.
To avoid future confusion, I'd better make it clear to you that 5G definitely doesn't exist anywhere yet and they iPhone 5 is totally incapable of using it despite having a "5" in the name…
Me personally I would get the Galaxy S3.It has better performance, 4g LTE, 4.8 inch screen, great for watching movies on Netflix and YouTube, bigger text messaging keyboard, swipe technology (meaning you don't have to take your finger off the screen for each letter), picture in picture (meaning you can watch your movie and text message at the same time), customizable, and has a lot more options.
I'm waiting to get the Galaxy Note 2 that's coming out in late October which is a 5.5 inch screen and does all that other stuff and has a SPen.
The IPhone 5 is nice but all their new stuff on that phone the Android phones have been doing in the past few years. So I say the iPhone 5 is behind on the technology. But if you want a simple phone then get the iPhone 5.
- Why does my Verizon iphone 5 only say 3G at the top? My iphone 5 has verizon and i can connect to LTE but when i turn it off it still has the "3G" icon at the top and i thought the iphone 5 was 4g. How do i turn the 4G on? My friends phone said the actual words "4g"on her 4s, but with AT&T. Can i get my phone to actually say 4G?
- Why does my new iphone 5 show 4g at the top when I'm supposed to have 16g of data? Okay so at the top of my phone where it shows the connection signal and time and all that, it either says 4g or LTE. But I'm confused because when I upgraded, the phone guy said I would have 16g of data now instead of 4g like I use to have. So what's the deal? I'm good with technology, but not this kind of understanding haha. If you could help me out, that'd be great.
- Why does my laptop say there's nothing new to import when I try to upload my photos and videos? I have a Toshiba laptop with a Windows 10 software. Whenever I plug in my iphone to transfer my photos and videos to my laptop, it says that there are no new items found to import. In reality, there are about 2,000 photos and videos on my iPhone that aren't on my laptop. It's only some photos that this happens with though. Like all of the photos in 2013. Any photos more recent are able to be uploaded but not most of the photos from that time period. How can I fix this?
- Why does my iphone say no sim when there's a brand new one in there? I bought this iphone 4 on ebay second hand and the advert said it was locked to orange, I bought a new orange sim, I'm unable to activate the phone because it is still in factory settings and won't let me go any further without a sim
