Why does my Wi-Fi connect to my ipad and iphone but not my laptop?

My Wi-Fi on my laptop will say its connecting but then doesn't. It says my cord is broken or not plugged in but I've checked it and there's nothing wrong. My Wi-Fi connects fine to my iPad and iPhone. Not understanding why it won't connect to my laptop anymore.

Right click on the Wi-Fi/wireless icon when you boot up the PC and reset the network settings: you will need to re-enter you SSID and passcode:

This usually resolves the issue

If it has worked but is no longer working it is probably just an IP address conflict or similar. Turn the router off and on again to force a fresh connection and reallocate IP addresses.

Because Wi-Fi does not use cords. The cord reference means it is looking for an ethernet hard wired connection.
It sounds like Wi-Fi is diabled on the laptop.
There may be a key that looks like an antenna with a signal coming out of it on your keyboard to enable or disable your wireless or you may need to open the connection icon in your system tray (lower right on the screen) and it should give you the choice of networks available and a choice to connect if you pick yours.

I have meet this situation, my laptop's Wi-Fi connection setting is not good. My friends help me reset. So you can try to set the Wi-Fi on your laptop.
