Why does the iOS block even exist?
I'm more of an Android guy, however I'm gonna look into iPhone 6 IF it truly is revolutionary. The iOS block caught my attention the other day because of how stupid the concept is. Why couldn't Apple (a company I do like) just steal the widget style from Android and just make it fit the style of iOS? It'd look so much nicer with the apps and everything, and I thought iPhone was all about style and simplicity. I'm almost not looking forward to iPhone 6 and iOS8 now just because of that, however, I still would like it to be good (and have a micro SD card slot), otherwise I'll probably just go for a Galaxy S6 or whatever the best phone ends up being by next Spring.
Apple can't take Android's style of widgets directly or they risk being sued by Google and other Android manufacturers like Samsung. They will have to tweak it a bit (maybe for better) to make their version of widgets different to risk not being sued and to make it seem revolutionary.
Anyways, why should someone's concept make you not look forward to iOS 6? It's just someone's own pet idea that got viral. If you didn't like it then forget about it. It's not like Apple is going to implement iOS block to their new iOS 8.
- Why does paper still exist? Why do we still use paper? That's so weird because we have all this technology now. Shouldn't everything be done on our iPhones or iPads since its 2018? Paper is very outdated.
- When you Block Caller on iPhone, does it completely block them or do they show up as Unknown? I routinely "Block Caller" telemarketers, so does using the iPhone "Block Caller" option block all calls, or will the calls still come through and just show up as "Unknown"? I've received a lot of "Unknown" phone calls lately, so that's what I was attributing it to.
- Rolling shutter sensors, why do they still exist? From iphones to dslrs, they all use cmos sensors that use rolling shutters to capture images, are there any dslrs that use digital global shutters, it seems to me that the firms which addopted cmos have taken a step beckwards from the days of CCD sensors. Its been years now since cmos was introduced and it still hasn't evolved a global shutter why? Rolling shuter artifacts can be a real headache and spoil images/videos.
