Technically they are the same thing. BUT if you contact your provider (why not mentioned in your question?) and ask them to provision your phone for LTE then it will show LTE.

Certain areas don't have LTE service. For example, when I'm at school, I only get 4G. But at home, I get LTE. This is a bit inconvenient since I have Wi-Fi at home. However, speed-wise, I do not believe there's much of a noticeable difference between 4G and LTE.
