If you have a slow internet connection, then yes it could take that long.
It also might be hung. Hopefully you updated your computer's iTunes before you updated your iPhone and did a backup before updating your iPhone.
It shouldn't take so long now, mine took like 2 hours. I left mine to update and went to eat dinner and came back and it had stopped updating. So I did it again and it took 2 hours.
Don't worry about it although it is annoying -.

- Why does the iPhone 4s take so long to update to 7.0.6? I decided to update an iPhone 4s that I just bought the other day to 7.0.6 and it says its going to take 4 hours to update. Is this normal? I've never had an iPhone before so I'm not sure.
- How long does it take an iPhone to recharge after it had been dead a long time? My cousin just gave me her old iPhone 5. It's in good condition but it's been sitting in her drawer for months. I don't know how many months but a pretty long while. Anyways, i out it on the charger and it hasn't moved from the red. It's been on maybe… At least a half hour. Is it okay? I don't know anything about these machines lol.
- ITunes says iPhone update will take four hours? I'm running on a mac desktop, with iTunes 11.0.1. I'm currently running on ios 6.1, iphone 4, with jailbreak, wanting to restore and update the phone. So i started this process about a half hour ago, and since then it has told me so update the phone, it will be four hours, and not even a megabyte of data has changed, it just stood like that.
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
