Why doesn't Safari or Mail work on my iPhone 3GS?
I just bought an iPhone 3GS yesterday and it was with Fido, I went and paid someone to Jailbreak/unlock it so I could use it for Rogers. I went to Rogers today to get a new SIM card for it and when I put it in everything worked except Safari and the mail app. I went to work and my mom tried to fix it by googling the problem and the instructions to fix it were "delete Cydia, and delete the Safari download manager" she continued to delete Cydia, and then couldnt find "Safari download manager" (I can't either, and I have had multiple iPhones and never heard of it.)
I got home and she told me what she'd done and that she reset the phone through settings after deleting Cydia didn't work.
How do I get Safari and Mail to work? They will open then close right away.
Also how do I get Cydia back?
Never restore an unlocked iPhone--- big problems. You will have to get it re-jailbroken.
- Why doesn't my iPhone 3GS Push notifications work? My fiancé got me a used 3GS (times are hard) and ever since I've gotten it my notifications will not work. The notification buttons are all on. Even when I turn them off and then back on they still won't work. My fiancé is a computer wiz and told me not to restore my iPhone what so ever. Everything is on and sound is great just the push notifications won't work.
- Why does my iPhone work with safari even when Wi-Fi is turned off? I usually keep the Wi-Fi off on my phone to save battery, and one day I went on safari to look something up. I noticed that it still worked even when my Wi-Fi was turned off. Why is this happening? Does it connect somewhere else, or to the same Wi-Fi even if its turned off?
- On my iPhone, my mail, calendar, safari, and maps won't open Hey… So I tried jailbreaking my phone and it didn't work. Anyways, after I stoped trying to jailbreak it, I realized that some of the apps that you can't delete (Mail, Calendar, Safari, and Maps) won't open! They just keep crashing! I really would like these apps to work again so I can use them while I'm on the go. I already tired the dumb little things like turning my phone off and then back on… But it doesn't seem to work!
- Mail, messages, AppStore and safari not working on iPhone 4 (iOS 7)? I go to open mail and it won't update, the AppStore has the categories at the bottom, but it stays blank and doesn't load. And Safari says "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding. I'm connected to good Wi-Fi and it's working because my other devices are working on the internet. My date and time is on set automatically. And I'm on ios7.
