Why does my iPhone work with safari even when Wi-Fi is turned off?
I usually keep the Wi-Fi off on my phone to save battery, and one day I went on safari to look something up. I noticed that it still worked even when my Wi-Fi was turned off. Why is this happening? Does it connect somewhere else, or to the same Wi-Fi even if its turned off?
You might be using your data.
Its using your data. You're paying for it. You can also turn your data off by going to settings. However, if you turn your data off and are not on Wi-Fi you won't be able to receive iMessages.
In case you didn't know, iMessage is from one apple product to another. These messages are in blue. And the green are just text messages.
Its using your 3g. Iphones don't have to have Wi-Fi to go on the internet. That is why you pay $30 a month for internet
- Will i be charged for texts on iPhone even though i turned off cellular data and enable 3G? I have turned off my cellular data and 3G believing that everything of texts web browsing etc. Is all based on Wi-Fi. I know imessage won't charge me even though i'm on Wi-Fi. However if i were to text someone who does not have an iphone and it isn't imessage will i still be charged? Because sending messages to them works with my cellular data and 3g off but will i be charged or even charged more since it is off?
- Why does my iphone use data over night when cellular data is turned off? Every night I turn off cellular data and leave the iPhone on and one day I wake up and check my data manager and see i have already used 25 MB please help!
- Why does my iPhone 6 keep Bluetoothing to my car even when I have Bluetooth turned completely off? Every time I get in my car, (2017 Toyota 4Runner) my phone automatically turns my Bluetooth on and connects to the car and it pisses me off. How do I make it stop doing this?
- My iphone turned off in the middle of the night even though I was at 90%? I woke up and my phone was off and I had to charge it and it turned back on just fine, but I'm curious as to why this happened if my phone was pretty much fully charged? There's nothing draining my battery either; no music was on and I wasn't on the phone with anyone… Can somebody please tell me what this means?
