It it a scam that i have to pay 650 dollars for an iphone 5S?
Its a 32gb. So i put down 150 dollars on the phone and iv been paying 25 dollars each month ever since june of last year. And i'm suppose to pay the 25 dollars each month for 24 months which the total is: 750. Am i getting scammed? Cuz that phone is out dated. This is at consumer cellular. There they are charging 750 for the iPhone 6s. So why are they charging me that much money for my iphone 5s when i can get the iphone 6s the same price. Makes no sense.
Because when you got the phone it was new and cost that much… You signed a contract to pay that much…
That's how contracts work, if you pay up front for the phone and not tied down via contract then it would be cheaper. There's a reason they try so hard to get you into a contract
I've never had to pay anything for a phone
This is how financing works, no matter what it is that you buy. If you have to finance it, you will pay more than it is worth for the convenience.
If you buy a $30,000 car with a 5 year note, you will pay more like $40,000 over those 5 years.
A $100,000 house will cost you $300,000 over 30 years.
A $500 iPhone 5s will cost you $650 over 2 years.
If you pay cash up front, you don't have this issue.

- Why is a $200 iPhone 5s $650? So I got a new iPhone 5s and I got it via UPS. After I opened the package I saw the paper every package comes with that lists the prices and everything. I saw that the phone was $649.99. I don't know why because its not unlocked and I have a 2 year contract.
